This Privacy Policy explains how Natalia Tereshina ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data in the Receiptika mobile app ("App") in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

What We Collect

• Email address – used for login and account identification via Firebase Authentication
• Transaction data – amount, date, description, and category
• Receipt images – used to scan, interpret, and categorize expenses, and stored so you can export your records
• Anonymous usage statistics – collected via analytics tools

We do not collect or store banking credentials, payment information, or other sensitive financial data.

AI Processing and Your Consent

Before your first AI scan, the app asks whether you want to enable AI scanning or use manual entry only.

If you enable AI scanning, receipt photos are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to read merchant, amount, date, and category. You can switch to manual entry only or turn AI scanning off anytime in Settings.

How Your Data Is Processed

Email, transaction data, and receipt images are stored securely in Firebase, a GDPR-compliant infrastructure operated by Google. Receipt images are retained so that you can export your records.

When AI scanning is enabled, receipt images are processed through the Anthropic Claude API to generate categorized expense outputs. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and automatically deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days.

Analytics and Tracking

Firebase Analytics may be used to track anonymous app usage patterns, such as session length, feature interaction, and general app performance.

No personally identifiable data is shared through these tools.
